Faces and Voices of Recovery at www.facesandvoicesofrecovery.org , support  and resources are available through a nationally organized community of addiction recovery.  Individual Stories, Mutual Support, Publications, Contact information for recovery community organizations, by state, Research, Events and Regional information can be accessed.  Especially helpful is the Recovery Resources Links, which provides extensive state, national and federal government links to organizations, programs and information supporting recovery.

At www.addictionsearch.com , current addiction/treatment/recovery information is available.  This site has nationwide resources for chemical dependency including a “free 24 hour Addiction Helpline”.  Other services/resources include: published literature on addiction and treatment (includes Recent Articles), national Statistics, Treatment Programs/Centers (with a search engine for treatment facilities and addiction info), Prevention info, links to information on Social Issues and associated Organizations.  This is a centralized source for comprehensive substance abuse treatment and addiction research.

www.soberrecovery.com , provides online recovery and mental health resources.  Access is available to a wealth of addiction resources including: Detox Centers, Drug/Alcohol Rehabs, AA/NA, Al Anon, a Substance Abuse Glossary, Gambling Addiction Resources, articles and published literature and Forums.  It also has a breakdown of treatment options categorized by: Key Links (financing, featured centers, resource directory, professional, etc,), Treatment Phases (Detox, Extended Care, Outpatient,etc.), Client Type (Men, Women, Teens, adults, mature adults, etc.), Special Focus Programs (Faith-based, non-12 step, Holistic, Se addiction/eating disorders), Self help, Relapse Prevention etc.), by drug of choice (alcohol, cocaine, meth, etc.), and recovery resources by state and region.

In Michigan, go to www.michigan.gov/mdch for access to the Michigan Department of Community Mental Health which offers programs and services for mental health and substance abuse.  Departments and agencies within the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Administration can be accessed through this website along with specific programming and resources for: Domestic Violence, Addiction, Mental Health and a wide range of health treatment and prevention related issues.  Links include Site Maps to virtually any health related concern faced by former prisoners and their families.  This is also a good place to look for both marriage and death records if needed.
